This bloke could sell meat to a butcher. He could sell a telemarketer their own product. He could sell ice to an Eskimo...

You get the point! :D

Cape Town is currently experiencing one of the worst droughts in recent history. The region is severely water-stressed, and this has an impact on both locals and tourists.

Here's how the Theewaterskloof dam looks like, the place where our countryside house is located:

Yesterday Iceland became the smallest nation to ever qualify for the FIFA World Cup!

Team Iceland won in Kosovo 2-0 last night, which gave them the top spot in the group, and sent them to the FIFA World Cup in Russia next year. This is the first time Iceland has ever qualified for a FIFA world cup tournament.

The fairy-tale continues! <3

The Boks did lose to NZ again, but this time they were outstanding. A single point separated the teams. Most importantly, our lads had their pride restored. Turns out it's possible to play against the All Blacks like with equals. Bravo Bokke!

Apparently, some guy has figured he could use Photoshop for celebrifying himself. ;-)

It's all about climate. Not climate change necessarily, just the way climate affects culture. What I mean by this? Many in the north of Europe complain about the southerners being lazy, while they, northerners, like to think of themselves as hard-working, diligent, rational people. This division exists even within countries themselves, like Italy, France, Spain, even Belgium. We all know the story about Greece being lazy, and Germany, Holland, Sweden, Denmark etc having to bail them out. It's a common trope that we keep hearing all the time.

But has anyone thought about the realities of climate that have made things so? Why doesn't a German, Dutch, Swedish, Danish or some other northerner (like myself) try to work all day at 42'C? How'd they've liked that, eh?

Let's not pretend that climate doesn't have a say in these matters, including culture, and work culture more specifically, hence the economy and finance of countries and regions (which is at the core of the problem in this case as in many others, IMO). And now climate change will be making these divisions even worse. If we don't acknowledge that and try to address it, we're only going to experience more turmoil.

Hmm, interesting. According to this theory, gravity is generated by fields created by a number of random collapses of the wave function, which means it emerges from the very properties of space-time at a quantum level. (source)

The All Blacks have just scored their biggest win over the Springboks, winning 57-0 in Albany.

Rhule was a quota selection very obviously. Missed 99% of tackles and did almost fokol.

Jantjies always kicking deep off kick off??

Line outs? Wtf.

Backline- what backline?

Need a new coach please and thank you.

Not only that, we need to start working from scratch.

New Zealand currently hold all five Rugby World Cups. What an achievement!
